[14941] According to family stories, Joshua met his bride aboard ship from NC to either Mobile or New Orleans. She is variously reported as being accompanied by two brothers, or nephews, Jake and John. She is also variously reported native of NC or Germany. However, all census records on her say NC. Tradition has Joshua and Margaret marrying in Alabama, which is buttressed but not proven by the census records reflecting AL as birthplace of some of her children.
