[14940] Family History relates that three brothers came to MS in early 1800s. John Hadley, b. 1799 in NC settled Monroe Co. MS, Joshua Hadley, b 1801, settled Chickasaw Co MS. Thomas, b 1809 has not been definitely located. The boys left NC because they were dissatisfied with the indenture their widowed mother had submitted them to. They sailed to Mobile or New Orleans where they embarked to North MS. Parents names unknown. Joshua is listed in 1830 Franklin Co AL census.
