Mildred Frick, Starke FL, reports Artemesia Foushee married Adam Gilleland, her first his fourth, at Joseph W Foushee's home. George Washington Foushee signed the marriage bond. Mildred indicates Artemesia's parents were Joseph W Foushee (Virginia) 1821 and grandparents as George Washington Foushee. This does not agree with this record which indicates Joseph W Foushee's parents as William T Foushee (Elizabeth Woolfolk). This record has George Washington Foushee (Cindrella) 1848-1919, with parent of William Slaughter Foushee (Elizabeth Neafus/Adeline/Margaret) 1820.
Laura Gilliland Butler, report same as above except named witnesses as Charles Wright and Joe Foushee and listed children as Sarah, Joseph, Addie and Wm Forest.
Marriage records: Adam Gilliland married 5-1-1873 Artesmia Foushee, her first at age 25, his 4th at age 34.
