[280] Okolona Messenger Obituary: Rites For Mrs. G C Johnson - Was Resident of Troy Community - OKOLONA (special) - Services for Mrs. G C Johnson of the Troy Community will be held at 2 p.m Wednesday in Toxish Baptist Church in Pontotoc County. Burial will be in Edington Cemetery with Barry Funeral Home in charge. She was 74. Mrs Johnson, the former Miss Myrtie Lou Lower, died at her home Monday night. She was a Baptist, and had been married to Mr. Johnson 54 years. In addition to her husband, she leaves two sons, Billy Johnson of Tupelo and J D Johnson of Moline Ill; six daughters, Mrs. Jeff Williams of Pontotoc, Mrs Clyde Mask and Mrs Frank Sisk of Shannon, Mrs Buddy payne of Nettleton, Mrs Charles Pyron of Greenwood and Mrs Jerry Armstrong of Amory; a brother, Bud Lower of Pontotoc; two sisters, Miss Mamie Lower and Mrs Herman Barnett of Pontotoc; 23 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons..
